📝 GiRaffle Official Rules

Effective Date: April 18, 2025

These Official Rules govern all giveaways, draws, and promotions (“Giveaways”) conducted by GiRaffle (“we,” “us,” “our”). By participating, you agree to these terms.

🎯 Eligibility

GiRaffle giveaways are open only to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
By entering, participants confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements and agree to abide by the official rules of each giveaway.
Entries from individuals residing outside of Canada will not be accepted or considered valid. Any entries submitted from outside of Canada may be disqualified without notice.
Employees, contractors, or affiliates of GiRaffle and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate or win.

🎟️ How to Enter

Participants can enter a Giveaway in one of two ways:

✅ 1. Paid Entry

Purchase entries directly through the GiRaffle website at giraffle.net.
Entry fees vary by giveaway and are listed on the individual giveaway page.

✅ 2. No Purchase Necessary (Free Mail-In Entry)

To enter without making a purchase:

Send a letter or postcard with the following details clearly written:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your mailing address
- The name of the giveaway you’re entering
- A short note that says: “I would like to enter the [Giveaway Name] with no purchase necessary.”
Mail your entry to:

Each mailed entry counts as one (1) entry.
Limit: One mail-in entry per person per giveaway.
Mail-in entries must be received before the giveaway’s end date.

🏆 Winner Selection

Winners are selected at random from all eligible entries once the giveaway reaches its entry limit or designated end time.
Winners will be notified via email and/or phone within 72 hours.
If the selected winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, a new winner may be drawn.

🎁 Prizes

Prize details and estimated retail value (ERV) are listed on each giveaway page.
Prizes are either purchased by GiRaffle and shipped to the winner, or fulfilled via third-party providers (e.g., Amazon).
A cash alternative is available for all giveaways, equal to 80% of the estimated retail value of the item. Winners may choose this option instead of receiving the physical prize.

🔄 Refunds & Returns

Refunds are allowed before the draw occurs (see full Returns & Refunds Policy).
Winners may return their item after receipt if desired, and the entry fee for the winning entry will be refunded.
All other entries are non-refundable.

🛑 Disqualification

GiRaffle reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:

Appears fraudulent, automated, or abusive
Fails to meet eligibility or entry requirements
Attempts to manipulate the outcome or entry limits

📢 Publicity

By entering, you agree to allow GiRaffle to use your first name, last initial, and general location (e.g., “Jenna T. from Calgary, AB”) for winner announcements and promotional purposes.

🔒 Privacy

All personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

⚖️ Legal

All giveaways are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
By participating, you release GiRaffle from all liability related to the giveaway, prize delivery, or technical issues.

🧠 Skill-Testing Requirement

To comply with Canadian contest laws, all entrants must correctly answer a skill-testing question as a condition of eligibility.
This question is presented during the account registration process. By creating an account and submitting an answer, users confirm that they have answered the question without assistance or mechanical aid. The submitted answer will be used to determine eligibility in the event that the user is selected as a winner.
Failure to answer the question correctly during registration may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.
